I often
hear people telling me things like “Why do you have to travel now? Finish
school at first, and then you can do whatever you want.” Or if I think of the
words of my parents. “We do not have the time now. You are still living with us
and it would not be easy to find something which would be perfect for us all. And
our work is also stopping us.”
But should
we really think like that?
You can
never be too young for travelling. That is a fact. And we also should not find
excuses for not travelling. Because if we want to, we can make it come true
without any problems.
I am 19
years old and already started to get out of my country as much as it is
possible. I tried to do my training abroad, I tried to take part of some
projects to get to another country and now I am here in Finland, as an exchange
student for one whole school year. And I do not regret none of my decisions.
But why?
New places,
foreign languages, unusual activities and social contacts with different
cultures and traditions, are experiences which you will never forget in your
life. And exactly those things can grow you as a person.
“Travel as much as you can, as far as
you can, as long as you can. Life’s not meant to be lived in one place.”
It changes your personality, for instance you can get less ignorant. After experiencing new things in your life, you see the world with different eyes and get more open minded.
Second, you deal better with changing situations, for example delays, getting lost, missing flights etc.
What if it happens to you? No problem! You try to make up your mind how to solve the problem and you learn not to get mad about it because it does not bring you further. So, even mistakes can cause to something positive in your life.
Travelling makes you getting more confident according to trying new activities as well. It developes the urge to try more and more what you have never done or seen in your life. And while achieving them, your happiness will grow. And that is what we need.
Travelling makes you
awesome. So break out of your comfort zone, experience the diversity of the
world and get happy!
“We travel because we need to,
because distance and difference are the secret tonic to creativity. When we get
home, home is still the same, but something in our minds has changes, and that
changes everything.”

I agree. I couldn't even think about life without traveling.
